Biti Pies was born in a small house on the prairie near Sundown, Texas in 1988. In those early days, baking pies was more than just a way to make ends meet—it was a family tradition.
Our founder's mother started baking pies with her young daughter, nicknamed “Biti,” who loved to roll out dough alongside her mom.
Together, they created small, bite-sized versions of their pies, which quickly became a hit. These little “Biti” pies, crafted with love and the flavors of the Texas countryside, soon found their way into local convenience stores and became a staple in the community.
As the pies grew in popularity, the business moved to Amarillo, Texas in 2006, right along historic Route 66. Here, the bakery expanded, yet stayed true to its roots, preserving the warmth, nostalgia, and homemade taste that has kept customers coming back for more.
ver the years, Biti Pies became a part of Amarillo's story, a place where community and flavor meet on the Mother Road. The kitchen buzzed with the smells of fresh ingredients, like golden buttermilk, spiced pumpkin, and Texas pecans, filling the bakery with the spirit of that little house on the prairie.
In 2024, Biti Pies began an exciting new chapter under our ownership. With a commitment to honoring the brand's cherished history, we're bringing Biti Pies back “batter than ever.” Our vision is not only to serve the Amarillo community but to expand our presence along Route 66, from Chicago to Los Angeles, creating a network of bakeries in historic towns where we can continue sharing our handmade, scratch-baked pies with new generations of pie lovers. Our commitment to quality hasn't changed.
